Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Master’s degree in taxation preferred.
• CPA license required.
• Must be a member in good standing with the American Institute of CPAs.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations of any complexity.
• Serves as a subject matter expert in discipline or industry.
• Manages client service and ensures tasks are completed within budgeted time.
• Delegates work to tax preparers and supervises staff.
• Participates in client meetings and tax planning with larger clients.
• Mentors staff and develops training for tax personnel.
• Keeps billing and collections accurate and timely.
• Keeps up with tax developments affecting clients.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting

Master’s degree in taxation preferred

CPA license

AICPA member in good standing
