United Future, a well established regional CPA firm in California, seeks a Tax Director to join their growing team in Los Angeles. The role offers a strong track to partnership, significant bonus potential, and a generous 401(k) employer contribution.

You will lead technical tax reviews, client engagements, and oversee a talented staff across diverse industry groups. You will represent clients before tax authorities, mentor staff, and contribute to strategic planning and business development

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of public accounting tax experience with increasing complexity.
• Minimum 2 years representing clients before tax authorities.
• CPA license in good standing and ongoing professional education.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical tax review and approval of complex returns and examinations.
• Act as subject matter expert for tax discipline or industry.
• Manage client service and ensure assignments meet budgeted time.
• Supervise and delegate work to tax preparers.
• Participate in client meetings and tax planning for large clients.
• Develop staff through recruiting, training, and evaluations.
• Oversee billing and collections accuracy.
