Qualifikationen

• Seven to ten years experience in public accounting with progression in tax complexity and research.
• At least two years experience representing clients before taxing authorities.
• Minimum one year supervising and directing work of tax preparers.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; Master’s in taxation preferred.
• Minimum of forty hours of continuing education per year to maintain technical skills.
• CPA license current and valid.
• Member in good standing with the AICPA.

Aufgaben

• Perform technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and examinations of any complexity.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in discipline or industry.
• Oversee client service and ensure timely completion within budgeted time.
• Supervise larger tax returns and delegate to tax preparers as needed.
• Participate in client meetings and tax planning for large clients.
• Act as a resource for tax staff and specialists on tax issues.
• Communicate tax developments affecting clients to firm personnel.
• Delegate and manage governmental tax examinations; may represent clients before authorities.
• Develop and train tax staff through recruiting, evaluations and training aids.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing and collections.
