The candidate will oversee complex tax returns, mentor staff, and participate in planning with senior leadership while maintaining client relationships and ensuring timely billing.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years in public accounting with growing tax complexity.
• At least two years representing clients before tax authorities.
• Minimum one year supervising tax preparers.
• CPA license current and in good standing.
• Forty hours of continuing education annually.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical tax review and approval of all returns and examinations.
• Serves as a subject matter expert in discipline or industry.
• Manages client service within budgeted time and delegates tasks.
• Leads larger tax return projects and supervises staff.
• Participates in client meetings and tax planning with larger clients.
• Represents clients before authorities when delegated.
• Develops staff through recruiting, training, and evaluations.
• Ensures accurate billing and timely collections.
• Keeps abreast of tax developments affecting clients.
