Current, in partnership with Cutler Advisors, seeks a Director of Tax to lead a portfolio of tax engagements for high‑net-worth clients and complex corporate matters. You will set engagement strategy, review tax positions, and guide senior teams toward timely, accurate filings.

This role emphasizes relationship management at the executive level, risk oversight, and the adoption of quality improvements across the tax practice, with opportunities for growth within a national platform.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA license or equivalent active licensure required.
• Significant experience leading and reviewing tax engagements in a public accounting environment.
• Advanced knowledge of federal and state tax concepts and compliance requirements.
• Strong engagement strategy, risk management, and multi-priority leadership.
• Strong client-facing communication, stakeholder management, and professional judgment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax software.

• Lead a portfolio of tax compliance engagements with on-time delivery.
• Set engagement strategy for complex clients, including risk assessment, planning, staffing, timelines, and review depth.
• Review key tax judgments and ensure filing requirements are met.
• Resolve escalated technical and client issues with coordinated research and documentation.
• Oversee budgets, billing, realization, utilization, and trends; identify improvements.
• Coach and develop senior managers and engagement teams with clear priorities and feedback.
