Current, a leading platform partner for accounting firms, seeks a Director of Tax for Cutler Advisors. The role provides senior leadership across the tax practice, overseeing a portfolio of engagements, guiding risk assessment, and ensuring timely filings and high-quality deliverables.

The Director collaborates with tax leadership on engagement strategy, client relationships, and team development, while maintaining strong billing discipline and engagement economics across assigned teams.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA license required, or equivalent active licensure.
• Significant experience leading and reviewing tax engagements in public accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of federal and state tax concepts and compliance.
• Strong engagement strategy and risk management skills with multi-priority leadership.
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management.

Mansioni

• Lead a portfolio of tax compliance engagements with on-time delivery.
• Set engagement strategy for complex clients, including staffing and timelines.
• Review key tax judgments to ensure positions are supported and compliant.
• Resolve escalated technical and client issues with research and documentation.
• Oversee portfolio budgets, billing, realization, and capacity utilization.
• Coach and develop senior managers and engagement teams.
