Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking a services manager for the Financial Services Organization (FSO) EDGE Wealth and Asset Management team to provide tax compliance, planning and advisory work for hedge funds, private equity and mutual funds.

You will lead engagements, coach teams, and build client relationships in a hybrid model with in-person work about 60% of the time. A CPA/EA or licensed attorney, and strong federal/state tax experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics.
• Minimum of 5 years in a professional services or tax services organization in the financial services industry.
• CPA, Enrolled Agent or licensed attorney credentials.
• Broad exposure to federal income taxation; exposure to state and local tax.
• Proficient with various tax and accounting technologies.
• Strong teamwork, leadership, organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tax compliance and consulting work for clients.
• Identify and elevate problem areas to ensure timely completion of tax returns and projects.
• Consult with clients and escalate complex matters to senior management.
• Lead projects and work independently with guidance as needed.
• Manage communications with client tax liaisons and trust teams.
• Maintain long-term client relationships and workflow.
• Oversee engagement deliverables and team resources to meet deadlines.
• Provide leadership, feedback and coaching to team members.
