Job summary

Ernst & Young is seeking a services manager to lead tax compliance and advisory work for financial services clients. You’ll collaborate with Hedge funds, private equity, and asset management teams, structuring, planning, and delivering tax guidance across engagements.

The role emphasizes leadership, client communication, and mentoring, with a hybrid model and broad opportunities within EY’s FSO EDGE Wealth and Asset Management team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional services or tax services organization in the financial services industry.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Enrolled Agent (EA) or licensed attorney.
• Broad exposure to federal income taxation and exposure to state and local tax.
• Proficient in the use of various tax and accounting technologies.
• Excellent teaming, leadership, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and manage tax compliance and consulting work for clients.
• Recognize and elevate problem areas to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax returns, research, accounting, and projects.
• Consult with clients and elevate complex matters to senior management and subject‑matter professionals.
• Lead projects and work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
• Manage communications with client tax liaisons and trust teams to support informed decision‑making.
• Maintain effective long‑term relationships and manage workflow with clients.
• Manage engagement deliverables and team resources to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy.
• Provide leadership, feedback, and coaching to team members.
