Join our Research & Development Tax Credit Project Management Team. This is a fully remote position for candidates residing in the US with TAX CREDIT experience specific to R&D.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Conduct initial interviews with clients to understand their operations and R&D Tax Credit applications, and to identify Qualifying Research Activities.
2. Prepare accurate credit calculations, including data gathering, developing calculation templates, and preparing related tax forms at the federal and state levels for multiple clients, adhering to deadlines.
3. Conduct in-depth interviews with client personnel to understand qualifying activities and the process of experimentation used by technical staff.
4. Prepare thorough and accurate final reports documenting the client’s R&D tax credit, including descriptions of the R&D study process, supporting documentation of Qualifying Research Expenses and Activities, and other relevant information.
5. Provide audit support as needed, including preparing schedules, drafting responses to IRS inquiries, and participating in meetings with IRS agents.
6. Develop and maintain excellent client relationships to ensure timely receipt of supporting data and provide regular status updates throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Residence in the United States and authorization to work there.
• At least five (5) years of experience in Tax Credit Preparation and Management, specifically for R&D Tax Credits.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, engineering, legal, or related field.
• CPA certification or J.D. candidacy is a strong plus.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to excel in client interactions.
