This position reports to

Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, implement, and manage various new business development targeted areas within industry strategies, focused on growth and customer satisfaction. You will position sales and service activities for maximum penetration, monitor current projects, and manage resolution of specific customer problems. Be the voice of authority on new techniques and technology within measurement and analytics. The work model for this role is remote. This position contributes to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics Instrumentation Sales division. Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Sales strategies - Understand key business drivers relevant to targeted customers and interpret their impact and opportunities for ABB. Participate in developing sales strategies for targeted accounts and projects.
  2. Sales targets - Define and propose sales targets for accounts and large projects, ensuring their achievement through structured follow-up processes across the Business Line and countries.
  3. Account planning - Lead the development and implementation of account plans, including designing relationship strategies, coverage plans, prioritizing opportunities, and identifying analytical portfolio targets.
  4. Customer relations - Establish and develop account relationships based on a defined strategy. Act as the focal point for problem resolution, monitor customer claims, and facilitate negotiations.

Qualifications for the role
  • Good time, activity, and priority management skills
  • 10+ years’ experience in measurement and analytical industry
  • Leverage existing industry relationships to bring new opportunities to ABB
  • Ability to develop and implement structured sales processes and strategies
  • Strong competitor knowledge; passion for selling and winning
  • Focus on end users' needs, goals, and how they buy and maintain equipment
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels within ABB, channel partners, and end users
  • Willingness and ability to travel, up to 75+ nights per year
