Reporting Line

Sales Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will develop, implement, and manage new business development initiatives within industry strategies, focusing on growth and customer satisfaction. You will position sales and service activities for maximum penetration, monitor current projects, and resolve specific customer issues. You will also serve as the authority on new techniques and technology in measurement and analytics.

The work model for this role is remote. It contributes to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics Instrumentation Sales division.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Sales Strategies: Understanding key business drivers relevant to targeted customers and interpreting their impact and opportunities for ABB. Participating in developing sales strategies for targeted accounts and projects.
  2. Sales Targets: Defining and proposing sales targets for accounts and large projects, ensuring achievement through structured follow-up across Business Line and countries.
  3. Account Planning: Leading the development and implementation of account plans, including relationship strategies, opportunity prioritization, and portfolio targeting.
  4. Customer Relations: Establishing and developing account relationships based on strategic plans, acting as the point of contact for problem resolution, monitoring claims, and conducting negotiations.

Qualifications
  • Strong time, activity, and priority management skills
  • 10+ years of experience in measurement and analytical industry
  • Existing industry relationships to generate new opportunities
  • Ability to develop and implement structured sales processes and strategies
  • Deep knowledge of competitors; passion for selling and winning
  • Focus on end users' needs, goals, buying behaviors, and maintenance practices
  • Ability to build relationships at all organizational levels within ABB, partners, and end users
  • Willingness to travel up to 75+ nights per year depending on location and project needs
