Job summary

Jabil in Memphis, Tennessee seeks an experienced tax and accounting professional to maintain state and local tax compliance and incentive filings while performing statutory reporting with limited supervision.

The role requires GAAP knowledge, Excel proficiency, and ERP experience (SAP/Oracle). You will analyze GL balances, prepare reconciliations, and support forecasting, working with management across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, Tax or related field.
• 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
• Experience in state and local sales and property tax administration and filing, including incentive compliance.
• Experience in manufacturing accounting.
• Ability to present information and respond to management questions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare state and local sales and use tax, real and personal property tax filings.
• Prepare state incentive filings and reporting.
• Review and analyze general ledger balances.
• Verify accuracy and recommend corrections.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyze data related to overall profit and cost detail.
• Prepare timely reports and coordinate with functional areas.
• Support forecast and work cell statements.
• Train other employees within and outside the department.
• Prepare complex entries relating to cost accounts.
