Job summary

Virginia ABC is seeking a Tax Support Specialist at the Virginia ABC Headquarters in Mechanicsville, VA. This onsite role handles wine tax reporting, document processing, and compliance tasks, with a salary range of $43,400 to $56,400.

You will review tax documents, analyze data in the Wine Tax Database, and coordinate with staff to ensure timely processing of purchases, transfers and receipts.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access.
• Ability to analyze data and prepare financial reports.
• Strong oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming wine tax documents, both physical and electronic.
• Examine wine tax reports and make recommendations for approvals.
• Analyze data in the Wine Tax Database and ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Balance tax accounts monthly and inform taxpayers of issues.
• Coordinate with coworkers to ensure records and files are maintained.
