Winebow, a leading wine importer in Glen Allen, VA, seeks a skilled tax leader to direct the Company’s tax filings and planning. You will oversee excise, sales & use, and property tax filings; prepare the consolidated income tax provision; manage ASC 740 reporting and coordinate with external CPA firms.

This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to align tax strategy with business objectives, while coaching staff and implementing efficient tax processes.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation required.
• CPA or MST required.
• Ten years of relevant experience in corporate tax.
• Experience in corporate tax compliance and tax provisioning with M&A activity.
• Knowledge of US Federal and state tax laws.
• Experience in tax audits and negotiations.
• Strong people and project management skills.
• Cross-functional collaboration across teams.

Aufgaben

• Oversee preparation and filing of regular excise, sales & use, and property tax filings.
• Annual consolidation of income tax provision for audited financial statements.
• Manage ASC 740 income tax reporting, tax footnotes and disclosures.
• Coordinate with external CPA firm for Federal and state income tax returns.
• Prepare income tax projections and budgeting for other taxes.
• Maintain unclaimed property documentation and filings.
• Lead tax audits and coordinate with taxing authorities.
• Monitor changes in tax law and regulatory developments.
• Collaborate with service providers and internal teams to align tax strategy with business goals.
• Coach and develop tax staff and manage workload.
