Job summary

BDO USA in Nashville, TN seeks a Tax Manager, Core Tax Services, to advise clients on the tax implications of business objectives and oversee compliance and planning for complex issues. You will be the primary client contact for tax matters and contribute to market development within your specialization.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of ASC 740, FIN 48, and tax consulting, and the ability to coach junior staff while delivering timely written tax advice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or statistics.
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
• CPA certification or CPA/EA/attorney qualification preferred.
• Five+ years of tax experience and/or public accounting experience required.
• Prior supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on tax implications of business objectives and compliance.
• Plan and review tax processes including budgeting, staffing, billing and collections.
• Supervise associates and senior associates and provide feedback.
• Provide written tax advice and support with examinations as needed.
