Job summary

BDO USA seeks a Core Tax Services Senior Manager in Memphis to advise clients on tax implications of business decisions and to lead complex tax engagements as the primary client contact. The role anchors the office leadership team and participates in marketing and business development while maintaining strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate brings extensive tax experience, supervisory ability, and strong knowledge of ASC 740, tax research, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of relevant tax experience and/or public accounting.
• Industry expertise in one or more tax specialty preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance: ensure clients comply with authorities and minimize tax burdens while following Firm policies.
• Research: identify issues, frame issues for research, and report analyses; train staff.
• ASC 740/FIN 48 Tax Accruals: apply policy, review provisions, and discuss components with clients.
• Tax Consulting: develop and implement methods to maximize client benefits and reduce taxes.
• Tax Specialization & Strategy Development: build expertise and lead strategy implementation.
• Other duties as required.
