Job summary

SST Accountants & Consultants in the Dallas area is seeking a Tax Administrative Assistant to support our tax department during busy filing seasons and manage general office tasks. This 100% on-site role requires organization, deadline focus, and strong client service.

You will assemble tax returns, handle Forms 1040, 1120, 1065, K-1s, and estimated payments, assist with engagement letters, onboarding, billing, and document management.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years in an administrative or tax support role (public accounting preferred).
• Familiarity with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess Tax, SafeSend) is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assemble and process completed tax returns for delivery to clients.
• Prepare and manage tax-related documents such as Forms 1040, 1120, 1065, K-1s, and estimated payments.
• Monitor tax deadlines, extensions, and e-filing confirmations to ensure compliance.
• Greet clients, manage intake, and support billing and project tasks.
