Job Summary
SST is seeking an Audit Administrative Assistant in the Dallas area
This role provides essential administrative support to the audit department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of audit deliverables and client engagements while also supporting firm admin functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment supporting both internal teams and external client needs.

Education & Licenses
- 2–3+ years in an administrative or support role (public accounting firm experience preferred).
- Familiarity with audit processes or systems (e.g., CCHAxcess, EngagementMgr, etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Major Responsibilities & Duties
Audit Support Duties
- Accurately process final audit reports for timely client delivery and maintain proper filing.
- Support audit manager expense coding and ensure timely submission of expense reports.
- Coordinate and order late-night meals during peak business periods as needed.
- Track and monitor audit deadlines and assist with EZAudit filing.
- Maintain secure and organized digital audit files in line with firm policies.
Client & Engagement Support
- Assist in the preparation and tracking of engagement letters and client proposals.
- Lead the onboarding of new clients, including set-up in firm management and other systems.
- Create and maintain project tasks in firm project management tools.
- Monitor client billing schedules and assist with invoice preparation and processing.
- Lead the monthly delivery of billing worksheets to all departments.
Administrative Office Duties
- Answer incoming phone calls and route them appropriately.
- Provide backup coverage for front door reception, greeting clients and managing intake.
- Perform vendor research and data gathering to support the administration team.
- Support daily deposit entry and documentation with high accuracy and confidentiality.
- Participate in general office support, helping maintain a professional and efficient work environment.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Cross-train in other departments or duties to assist the team during peak business and PTO.
Success Metrics / KPIs
- Adheres to firm standards of 1 business day for timely follow-up on tasks and requests from audit team members and managers.
- Keeps team members informed of task progress or delays, especially during peak deadlines.
- Maintains up-to-date digital and physical files in accordance with firm policies.
- Handles confidential information discreetly and with sound judgment.
- Demonstrates efficiency and accuracy in new client setups and project creation in firm systems (e.g. CCHAxcess).
- Accurately processes audit reports and logs details on tracking sheets within 1 business day of receipt of request.
- Stays current on internal procedures and adopts new tools or workflows with training and support.
- Positive feedback from Audit team and managers gathered via informal quarterly check-ins or annual review.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- 2–3+ years in an administrative or support role (public accounting firm experience preferred).
- Familiarity with audit processes or systems (e.g., CCHAxcess, EngagementMgr, etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience working with digital filing/document management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Professional, dependable, and maintains confidentiality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
