Job summary

ONX Wines is hiring a part-time weekend Tasting Room Host to join our team in Paso Robles. You will be the first point of contact for guests, greeting them warmly and guiding them to a tasting experience with a Hospitality team member.

If you enjoy delivering memorable guest experiences and have a passion for wine, we’d love to meet you. Must be available Saturdays and Sundays 12:00 PM–5:00 PM and able to lift and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Able to lift 45–50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Reliable transportation.
• Interest in wine.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal communication; friendly and professional.
• Ability to engage with guests and initiate conversations.
• Team player and collaborative.
• Available weekends and holiday weekends (Saturdays and Sundays 12:00 PM–5:00 PM).

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcomes guests upon arrival and makes them feel valued.
• Escorts guests to their tasting area and introduces them to a Hospitality team member.
• Provides excellent customer service and addresses guest questions or needs.
• Keeps entry area organized and directs guests to tastings smoothly.
• Collaborates with Hospitality team for seamless service and communication.
• Adheres to safety and compliance regulations, including age verification as needed.
• Prepares tasting room using opening and closing procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness and appearance of tasting room areas.
• Assists in stocking wine, supplies, glasses, bags, and merchandise daily.
• Completes ServSafe training and Workplace Harassment Prevention training upon hire.

Job Status: Part-time

Schedule: Saturday and Sundays from 12-5:30pm (includes some holidays)

Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.00/hr, DOE

The Tasting Room Host will greet guests upon entry and lead them to a tasting experience with one of our Hospitality team members. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Warmly welcomes guests upon their arrival, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.
• Escorts guests to their tasting area and introduces them to their designated Hospitality team member.
• Provides excellent customer service, addressing any immediate questions or needs guests may have.
• Ensures the entry area is organized and that guests are directed smoothly to their tastings.
• Collaborates closely with the Hospitality team to ensure seamless service and communication.
• Adheres to all safety and compliance regulations, including age verification as necessary.
• Prepares the tasting room by following the opening and closing procedures.
• Manages cleanliness and appearance of all tasting room areas.
• Assists in stocking the tasting room with wine, supplies, glasses, bags, and merchandise daily.
• Upon hire, successfully completes ServSafe training (food handler certification) and Workplace Harassment Prevention training.

Requirements

Required Experience, Education, & Skills:

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Must be able to lift 45 - 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have an interest in wine.
• Must have a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills; ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Must be able to engage with guests, and the ability to freely and comfortably initiate conversations.
• Must have the ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively.
• Must be available to work weekends and holiday weekends, specifically from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
