Job summary

Peregrine Hospitality is seeking a Task Force Chief Engineer to provide interim engineering and maintenance support for hotels. You will help maintain safety, reliability, and guest comfort while backing the on-site team with repairs, systems oversight, and project management.

The role requires 3+ years in hotel engineering, strong knowledge of building systems, and willingness to travel. EPA/CPO or similar trade certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in hotel engineering or facilities maintenance
• Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety)
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours during assignments
• Strong problem-solving skills and hands‑on technical ability
• EPA certification, CPO license, or other trade certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Support preventative maintenance schedules and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Respond to emergency calls related to facilities and guest issues.
• Oversee hotel renovation, capital construction, and major maintenance projects.
• Collaborate with property leadership to uphold brand standards and safety compliance.
• Provide guidance and hands‑on support during transitions, openings, renovations, or leadership vacancies.
• Communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and leadership to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.
