Job summary

Peregrine Hospitality is seeking a Task Force Chief Engineer to provide interim engineering support for hotels in need of short-term assistance. You will ensure operational continuity, safety, and maintenance standards while guiding on-site teams through day-to-day repairs and project oversight.

Responsibilities include maintaining HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, supporting preventative maintenance, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with leadership to uphold brand standards

Qualifications

3+ years in hotel engineering or facilities maintenance.
Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
EPA certification, CPO license, or other trade certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
Support preventative maintenance and complete work orders in a timely manner.
Respond to emergency calls related to facilities and guest issues.
Oversee hotel renovation, capital construction, and major maintenance projects.
Collaborate with property leadership to uphold brand standards and safety compliance.
Provide guidance during transitions, openings, renovations, or leadership vacancies.
Communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and leadership to ensure smooth operations.
