Job summary

Dimension Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer in Austin to lead the maintenance and engineering team, ensuring safe, efficient operation of all building systems and guest areas.

You will oversee daily repairs, preventive maintenance, and budgeting, while mentoring staff and coordinating with hotel leadership to maintain high standards of safety and reliability.

• Previous engineering or maintenance leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the maintenance and engineering team.
• Oversee daily repairs, work orders, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure proper operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and life safety systems.
• Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Manage department budgeting, inventory and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with safety, fire and regulatory standards.
• Support maintenance team with troubleshooting and project work.
• Respond quickly to urgent issues and guest impact situations.
• Coordinate effectively with hotel leadership and all departments.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized engineering shop and work areas.
