Job summary

TPG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance of the hotel's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. You will manage a maintenance team, oversee repairs, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across the property.

The role requires a strong background in building systems, budgeting, and hospitality maintenance. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary to support hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Budgeting and cost control expertise.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a preventive maintenance program for all hotel systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural).
• Conduct regular inspections, prioritize repairs, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a team of maintenance staff; assign tasks and provide coaching.
• Assist in developing and managing the maintenance department budget; control costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes, regulations, and industry standards; oversee safety inspections and audits.
• Coordinate renovations and projects with architects, contractors, and suppliers; maintain records and reports.
