Job summary

Coastal Horizons is seeking a TASC Peer Support Specialist to join the team in Bladen, Columbus, and Brunswick Counties (Whiteville, NC office primary). The role involves providing peer support within the TASC program and collaborating with care managers, justice systems, and service providers to connect clients with housing, transportation, employment, and medical services.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or higher, lived recovery experience, and has completed the Peer Support Specialist

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher with wellness and recovery knowledge.
• Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use disorders; at least one year of recovery; completed Peer Support Specialist Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support services within the TASC program.
• Collaborate with TASC Care Manager and community partners to help clients access housing, transportation, employment and medical services.
• Support engagement with clinicians, psychiatric appointments, wellness and recovery services; document services and outcomes.
