Job summary

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. in Fayetteville, NC, is seeking an Enhanced TASC Peer Support Specialist dedicated to supporting justice-involved individuals with mental health diagnoses. This role focuses on providing peer support and mentoring, helping clients engage in behavioral health treatment, and addressing social determinants of health.

The ideal candidate will have lived experience with mental health disorders and a valid peer support certification, as well as effective communication and organizational skills. This full-time position offers a collaborative work environment with travel requirements within the service area.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the North Carolina Peer Support Specialist Certification Program.
• At least two years of recovery required.
• Preference for individuals with experience working with justice‑involved individuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support and mentoring services to justice-involved individuals.
• Assist clients in engaging in behavioral health treatment.
• Accompany clients to appointments as appropriate.
• Support individuals in overcoming barriers related to housing and healthcare.
