Job summary

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. is looking for an Enhanced TASC Peer Support Specialist to work in New Hanover County, Wilmington, NC. This role supports justice-involved individuals with primary mental health diagnoses through the Enhanced TASC program. You will use lived experience to help individuals navigate behavioral health systems and overcome barriers related to housing and healthcare.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or higher, certification as a Peer Support Specialist, and experience with mental health or substance use disorders. The position offers a full-time schedule with benefits including medical and dental insurance.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
• At least two years of recovery required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Providing peer support and mentoring services to justice-involved individuals.
• Assisting clients in engaging in treatment and community resources.
• Accompanying clients to appointments as appropriate.
