Job summary

North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a TAP+ Manager to coordinate, manage, administer, and advance TAP+ apprenticeships across the state. You will steward TAP+ vision, manage operations, and report performance to ApprenticeshipNC and federal partners.

The role involves recruiting candidates per DOT guidelines, coordinating with project managers and division engineers, and ensuring a successful apprenticeship experience for participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field with 4 years of HR experience.
• High school or GED with 6 years progressive HR experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary steward of TAP+ vision, strategy, mission, and operations.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the TAP+ program.
• Submit reports to ApprenticeshipNC and the Federal government concerning TAP+ performance.
• Represent NCDOT to stakeholder groups to promote the TAP+ program.
• Recruit candidates to apprenticeship opportunities following NCDOT guidelines and standards for the recruitment lifecycle.
• Coordinate and manage all apprenticeships with project managers and division engineers to respond to apprenticeship needs.
• Maintain contact with apprentices to ensure a good fit and successful experience.
