Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Transportation seeks a Transportation Apprenticeship Program (TAP+) Manager to coordinate and advance statewide apprenticeship efforts. You will steward the TAP+ vision, manage daily operations, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements to ApprenticeshipNC and federal authorities.

You will liaise with state agencies, schools, and community groups to promote opportunities, recruit candidates, and oversee program performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field with 4 years of HR experience; or HS/GED with 6 years of progressive HR experience; or equivalent combination.
• Governor's Executive Order 303 supports second-chance employment; all qualified applicants encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate TAP+ apprenticeship programs across the state and align with vision and strategy.
• Manage day-to-day TAP+ program operations and reporting to ApprenticeshipNC and Federal agencies.
• Represent NCDOT to schools, veterans, workforce boards and other partners to promote TAP+.
