Job summary

The State of North Carolina’s Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking a TAP+ Manager to coordinate apprenticeships across the state. You will manage day-to-day TAP+ operations, report to ApprenticeshipNC and the Federal government, and engage stakeholders from schools to workforce boards.

You will recruit candidates, oversee the full lifecycle, and report on performance metrics while working with project managers and division engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution and 4 years of experience required; or High school or GED diploma and 6 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate TAP+ program operations and reporting.
• Represent NCDOT to stakeholders to promote TAP+ program.
• Recruit candidates and manage the recruitment lifecycle.
• Coordinate salary adjustments and biannual assessments for apprentices.
• Provide guidance to statewide leaders to identify future needs.
• Lead efforts to advance TAP+ vision, mission, and performance results.
