Job summary

Heritage Cooperative in New Philadelphia, OH is seeking a Full-Time Technical Supervisor to lead daily tank service operations, manage field teams, and coordinate seamless customer support around the clock. You will oversee installation, maintenance, and QA/QC, while driving safety, efficiency, and cost-saving initiatives.

The role requires 3+ years of supervisory experience in related industries, strong mechanical aptitude, and robust communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or leadership experience in operations, field services, installation, maintenance, or a related industry.
• Experience in petroleum, energy services, fuel, lubricant, or industrial service industry preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude to understand and troubleshoot equipment and service-related issues.
• Working knowledge of petroleum products, fuel and lubricant systems, storage tanks, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily tank service operations, including installation, maintenance, repairs, monitoring systems, and customer support activities.
• Supervise tank installers, service technicians, and field support staff by providing leadership, coaching, training, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
• Coordinate 24/7 emergency response and customer support for tank-related issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Manage tank monitoring systems, software functionality, and data accuracy to support operational and customer needs.
• Oversee tank inventory management and partner with Billing and Logistics teams to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Manage purchasing activities for tanks, equipment, parts, and supplies, including vendor relationships, pricing, and procurement.
• Partner with Customer Service, Dispatch, Sales, and Operations teams to coordinate orders, service requests, quotes, and customer needs.
• Provide technical support and expertise to commercial fuel and lubricant customers.
• Prepare accurate quotes for petroleum and lubricant equipment sales in support of sales initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and maintain fuel and lubricant quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes.
• Manage inventory levels and procurement of fuel additives for petroleum bulk plant operations.
• Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of assigned vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
• Conduct regular operations meetings to improve communication, provide technical guidance, and align teams on priorities and expectations.
• Promote and enforce company safety programs by participating in safety initiatives, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and improving safety practices.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards across facilities, service areas, vehicles, and equipment.
• Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and increased efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and company success.
• Abide by all safety regulations to ensure safety of oneself, coworkers and customers.

Experience with tank monitoring systems, inventory software, or service management software.

Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, or willingness to obtain.

Experience with fuel and lubricant equipment sales, quoting, and customer support.

Knowledge of petroleum bulk plants, fuel additives, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) programs.

Experience developing and implementing safety programs and operational procedures.
