Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) in Pasadena, TX seeks a skilled Welder/Fitter. You will weld and fit mild and stainless steel, perform gas or arc welding, and cut and grind metal parts to repair or modify components.

Responsibilities include reading job sheets, ordering parts, keeping a clean workspace, and wearing a respirator when required. A high school diploma and welding experience are required; certification is a plus.

• Read and comprehend measurements and job sheets
• Worked in an industrial setting
• High school diploma or GED; Welding certificate is a plus, but not required

Role overview:

Handles welding and fitting both mild steel and stainless steel, welding parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes. Performs thermal cutting and grinding, repairing broken or cracked parts, filling holes, increasing the size of metal parts.

Position Responsibilities:

• Must be able to utilize both MIG and TIG
• Order and receive parts and supplies as needed
• Adheres to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and standards to include identification, use, and proper procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous wastes
• Clean, organize and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned

• Ability to operate an acetylene torch
• Read and comprehend measurements, and job sheets
• Worked in an industrial setting
• High school diploma or GED
