Job summary

Depot Connect International is seeking a skilled welder to join our Channelview, TX team. The role involves welding and fitting parts using MIG and TIG processes, with attention to safety and equipment maintenance.

You will read and interpret measurements, assist in ordering parts, and ensure a clean, compliant work environment. OSHA guidelines apply; respirator use may be required based on tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; welding certificate is a plus.
• Experience with welding and fitting in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read measurements and job sheets.
• Familiarity with safety policies (OSHA) and handling hazardous wastes.

Responsibilities

Role overview:

Handles welding and fitting both mild steel and stainless steel, welding parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes. Performs thermal cutting and grinding, repairing broken or cracked parts, filling holes, increasing the size of metal parts.

Position Responsibilities:

• Must be able to utilize both MIG and TIG
• Order and receive parts and supplies as needed
• Adheres to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and standards to include identification, use, and proper procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous wastes
• Clean, organize and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
• Ability to wear a respirator

Qualifications:

• Possess both welding and fitting skills
• Ability to operate an acetylene torch
• Read and comprehend measurements, and job sheets
• Worked in an industrial setting
• High school diploma or GED
• Welding Certificate is a plus, but not required
