Job summary

SES Energy is seeking a Tank Technician in Houma, LA to repair, clean, test, and move stainless steel and acid tanks and equipment. The role involves strict adherence to safety procedures, mandatory inspections, NDE checks, and daily documentation.

Ideal candidates will have oilfield experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills to coordinate with crew, customers, and vendors. Local travel and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving/criminal history.
• 1 year general oilfield experience or equivalent education.
• Safety conscience and ability to follow procedures.
• Basic computer knowledge for reporting and documentation.
• Ability to communicate with crew, customers, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment cleanliness and staging.
• Performs maintenance and service (pressure washing, inspections).
• Conducts equipment inspections as required.
• Performs NDE inspections (wet mag, dye penetrant) on pad-eyes.
• Executes visual inspections on equipment and slings per ASME B30.9.
• Changes slings and prepares recertification reports.
• Removes outdated slings and prepares recertification reports.
• Installs recertified slings.
• Completes forklift safety checklists daily or when used.
• Loads/unloads incoming and outgoing equipment.
• Maintains accurate inspection forms and delivery paperwork.
• Maintains a safe work site.
• Assists supervisor with other duties as assigned.
