Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP in Detroit seeks a Tank Specialist to oversee the construction and maintenance of the Tank Program at the Detroit Refinery. You will lead the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with engineers, planners, and contractors to ensure safety, quality, and on-time completion.

The role requires strong project or maintenance management experience, proficiency in cost control, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of refinery or petrochemical experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Leads budgeting, planning, and execution of the Tank Program.
• Primary contact for planners, field coordinators, and contractors.
• Develops Tank Program via P6 and scheduling baselining.
• Manages schedule baselines and communicates schedule and cost to stakeholders.
• Collaborates with project controls to track tank expenses and annual budget.
