Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a skilled tank mechanic to inspect, pressure test, and service ISO Tank Containers. You will work on tanks, valves, gaskets, and gauges, ensuring safe operation and regulatory compliance.

Based in our Channelview, TX location, you will use hoists, cranes, drills, and hand tools to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and maintain dry tanks. Candidates should have a mechanical background, good communication skills, and comfort working at heights or in

Responsibilities

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges.
• Drain tank and ensure it is dry.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision testing instruments.
• Diagnose causes of mechanical issues by listening and observing.
• Repair and replace defective parts, inspect used parts.
• Lubricate and clean parts.
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders.

Role Overview

Working on ISO Tank Containers by pressure testing tanks, drain and dry out the inside of the tank. Repair and replace tank container valves, gaskets and gauges.

Position Responsibilities

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges
• Drain tank and insuring tank is dry.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
• Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders
• Use hand tools and power tools

Qualifications

• Candidates will possess a mechanical background
• Possess good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Detailed oriented
• Ability to wear a respirator, be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks
• Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
