Job summary

Depot Connect International in Pasadena, TX seeks an on-site maintenance technician to assist tank welders and mechanics with pressure testing, drying out tanks, and buffing inside of tanks. You will inspect, repair, and replace tank container components and operate heavy equipment as required.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical background, good communication skills, and the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.

Qualifications

• Candidates will possess a mechanical background.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with careful workmanship.
• Must wear a respirator and work at heights on tanks.
• Ability to work in enclosed spaces inside tanks.

Responsibilities

• Pressure test tanks, drain and dry out tanks; repair valves, gaskets and gauges.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring/testing instruments; diagnose issues and replace parts.
• Lubricate and clean parts; buff tanks as needed.

Role Overview

• Assist tank welder and mechanics with pressure testing drying out tanks repair tank containers and buffing inside of tank as needed

Position Responsibilities

• Pressure test tanks drain and dry out tanksRepair and replace tank container valves gaskets and gaugesOperate hoists cranes and precision measuring and testing instrumentsObserve and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issuesRepair and replace defective parts inspect and adjust used partsLubricate and clean partsOperate lathe drill press and grindersUse hand tools and power toolsBuff Tanks as needed

• Candidates will possess a mechanical backgroundPossess good communication skills verbal and writtenDetailed orientedAbility to wear a respirator be comfortable with both heights on top of tanksWork in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
