Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a mechanically skilled technician to work on ISO Tank Containers, performing pressure tests, repairing valves, gaskets and gauges.

You will drain and dry tanks, operate hand and power tools, and work in enclosed spaces atop tanks, following safety procedures. Ideal candidates have strong communication, attention to detail, and comfort with heights.

Qualifications

• Must have a mechanical background and be able to interpret mechanical systems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Attention to detail is essential for inspection and adjustments.
• Able to wear a respirator and work at heights on tanks.
• Comfortable working in enclosed spaces inside tanks.

Responsibilities

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges
• Drain tank and ensure it is dry
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring/testing tools
• Observe and diagnose mechanical issues via listening to equipment
• Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders
• Use hand tools and power tools

Role overview:

Working on ISO Tank Containers by pressure testing tanks, drain and dry out the inside of the tank. Repair and replace tank container valves, gaskets and gauges.

Position Responsibilities:

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges
• Drain tank and insuring tank is dry.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
• Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders
• Use hand tools and power tools

Qualifications:

• Candidates will possess a mechanical background
• Possess good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Detailed oriented
• Ability to wear a respirator, be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks
• Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
