Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a skilled mechanical technician to conduct pressure testing and maintenance on ISO Tank Containers and related equipment. The role covers valve and gasket repairs, tank drying, and precision inspection to ensure safety and compliance.

Candidates should have a mechanical background, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.

Qualifications

• Candidates will possess a mechanical background.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to wear a respirator and work at heights on tanks.
• Ability to work in enclosed spaces inside tanks.

Responsibilities

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges.
• Drain tank and ensure tank is dry.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring instruments.
• Observe and diagnose causes of mechanical issues.
• Repair/replace defective parts and inspect used parts.
• Lubricate and clean components.
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders.
• Use hand tools and power tools.

Role Overview

Working on ISO Tank Containers by pressure testing tanks, drain and dry out the inside of the tank. Repair and replace tank container valves, gaskets and gauges.

Position Responsibilities

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges
• Drain tank and insuring tank is dry.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
• Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders
• Use hand tools and power tools

Qualifications

• Candidates will possess a mechanical background
• Possess good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Detailed oriented
• Ability to wear a respirator, be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks
• Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
