Job summary

Brooks Building Solutions is seeking a Building Automation Project Engineer in Tampa to design, program, and integrate BAS for large commercial projects, including hospitals. Be among the first technical hires in a new market, helping establish standards and support project delivery.

You will collaborate with field technicians, project managers, and clients to ensure proper engineering, programming, and commissioning for optimal performance, with relocation support and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and programming Building Automation Systems.
• Knowledge of BAS protocols BACnet and Modbus.
• Experience with HVAC, lighting, energy management, and security integrations.
• Ability to create control drawings, sequences of operation, graphics, and documentation.
• Strong problem solving with onsite commissioning experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer BAS systems per project requirements.
• Develop and integrate HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management systems using Distech Controls and Niagara platforms.
• Create detailed control drawings, system schematics, wiring diagrams, points lists, and sequences.
• Program and configure controllers and networked BAS devices in Distech and Niagara environments.
• Develop system graphics and control logic reflecting design intent.
• Support startup, testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning with field teams.
• Provide advanced technical support to ensure system performance and reliability.
• Ensure all work complies with codes, standards, and project specs.
• Stay current with Niagara and Distech technologies.
