Job summary

McKinstry in Tampa, FL is seeking a Technology Solutions Engineer to join our Southeast Facility Operations team. You will provide troubleshooting support for BAS performance issues and oversee BAS contractors and client technicians to keep systems optimized.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years of BAS/controls experience, a mechanical engineering background, familiarity with Metasys, Alerton, AX, and BACnet, plus strong IT troubleshooting and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent work experience in the built environment.
• 5–7+ years of BAS/controls experience, including programming, integration and energy management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS.
• Ability to triage client work orders in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong controls project management and people skills.
• Familiarity with IT troubleshooting for BAS networks.
• Certification or experience with Metasys, Alerton, AX, N4, Niagara, Distech, BACnet preferred.
