Job summary

Shield Technology Partners is seeking a Billing & Accounts Receivable Analyst to support billing and receivables across multiple portfolio companies. The role reports to a senior accounting leader and emphasizes accuracy, scalability, and automation.

The analyst will manage recurring and project-based invoicing, assist with collections and aging, validate historical data, and maintain customer records in NetSuite.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in billing/AR or related finance role.
• Experience with high-volume invoicing and resolving billing discrepancies.
• Familiar with AR aging, collections follow-up, and payment reconciliation.
• Experience with PSA/ERP/billing platforms; MSP systems preferred.
• Strong Excel/Sheets skills with detailed data handling.
• Interest in using AI and automation tools to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage billing for multiple Shield portfolio companies, including recurring, project-based, hardware invoicing.
• Review billing data for accuracy, contract alignment, and timely invoicing.
• Support AR activities: aging, collections follow-up, resolving discrepancies.
• Collaborate with portfolio teams to gather inputs and ensure accurate invoices.
• Clean and improve historical billing data in PSA systems; maintain customer records in NetSuite.
• Document, standardize, and implement billing and AR best practices across entities.
• Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, and tech to reduce manual work and scale operations.
• Liaise with Accounting to ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Participate in cross-functional projects as needed.
• Maintain clear documentation and communication with internal stakeholders.
