Job summary

Tidewater Community College is seeking a Manager of Talent & Workforce Administration to lead recruitment, employment, classification, and compensation functions in the HR division. You will guide hiring managers, review vacancies, and ensure compliance with state and VCCS policies.

• Experience in HR within higher education.
• Progressively responsible HR experience in recruitment, classification, or compensation.
• Knowledge of recruitment, selection, position classification, and salary administration.
• Ability to analyze salary actions and provide guidance to leadership.
• Strong communication, confidentiality, and judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for recruitment, employment, classification, and compensation.
• Oversee recruitment processes from authorization to hire.
• Collaborate with hiring managers and search committees on vacancies and strategies.
• Ensure compliance with state, VCCS, and college policies.
• Monitor recruitment activity and report on vacancies and metrics.
• Administer position classification processes per state requirements.
• Develop procedures and training materials for HR functional areas.
• Supervise staff and manage performance.
