J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College seeks a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for faculty, staff, and wage/hourly positions. The role focuses on delivering a positive candidate experience while ensuring compliance with EEO/AA, VCCS, and DHRM requirements.

The position advises hiring managers, maintains records, and supports process improvements to drive equity, efficiency, and exceptional service across the college community.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles and practices including recruitment, selection, classification, and payroll operations.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations governing HR functions.
  • Ability to interpret policies, analyze data, and present findings clearly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in maintaining and generating reports from automated HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to work independently and guide staff across levels of the college.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks with sound judgment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including explaining complex HR information clearly.
  • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other HR information systems.

Hiring Range: Salary commensurate with experience, maximum; $70,000 - $73,000

Full Time or Part Time: Full Time

Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties.

Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance.

Reynolds Community College is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead and support the college's recruitment and onboarding processes. This position plays a key role in ensuring a positive candidate experience and providing expert guidance to college administrators throughout the employment process.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist ensures compliance with EEO/AA, VCCS, and DHRM requirements in the advertisement, screening, referral, selection, and hiring of full-time and part-time faculty, classified staff, and wage/hourly positions, as well as processing tasks for work-study personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes for all employee classifications.
