You will partner with the Senior Recruiter, screen resumes, coordinate interviews, and guide candidates through the process from first contact to onboarding, while ensuring timely communications and adherence to employment laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Recruiting or related field.
• Two years or more of in-house recruiting experience.
• Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting and employment laws.
• Proficiency with ATS and recruiting platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple searches.
• Proactive problem-solver who can adapt to evolving hiring needs.
• High level of discretion with confidential information.
• Proactive self-starter who adds value to business needs.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Recruiter to develop sourcing strategies.

• Initial screening via phone or Teams and present candidates to managers.
• Serve as primary contact for candidates throughout recruitment.
• Conduct cold calls to identify local candidates or relocations.
• Identify effective recruiting methods tailored to roles and industry.
• Coordinate with HR for onboarding after offer acceptance.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Attend college career fairs as needed.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Senior Recruiter to develop innovative sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of qualified candidates
• Support the recruiting function by screening resumes, scheduling interviews, maintaining candidate profile data and assisting the Senior Recruiter and HR Manager as needed to complete the hiring process
• Develop a thorough understanding of company positions and the qualifications required for success in those positions
• Conduct initial screening interviews via phone or Microsoft Teams and compile candidates to present to hiring managers for secondary interviews
• Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring timely and professional communication
• Conduct cold calls to identify ideal local candidates from competitors, as well as people interested in relocation to Louisville or Lexington
• Assist the team in identifying effective recruiting methods and strategies tailored to specific roles, industry standards, and the needs of Calhoun
• Partner with HR to ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance through the onboarding process
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• May attend college career fairs as needed
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Recruiting or related field
• Two years or more of in-house recruiting experience required
• Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting best practices and applicable employment laws.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting platforms
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility with hiring managers and candidates
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple searches and priorities simultaneously
• Proactive problem-solver who can adapt to evolving hiring needs and timelines
• High level of discretion with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
• Proactive self-starter with the ability to identify opportunities to add value and support evolving business needs
• Demonstrated negotiation skills, including the ability to align candidate expectations with company needs
• Proven ability and comfort in effectively sourcing passive candidates
• Ability to work over 40 hours per week as needed, normally Monday through Friday
• Bilingual (Spanish) candidate preferred
