Job summary

Ivo is hiring a Talent Partner in San Francisco to expand a lean Talent team from 0 to 1, owning hard technical and GTM searches, shaping processes, and building a high-quality pipeline.

You will source, assess, interview, close, attend events, and collaborate with leaders to ensure top talent flows into product, engineering, and business roles. The role demands speed, judgment, and establishing trust within the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong technical recruiting experience with engineering teams.
• Startup environment experience; fast-paced setting.
• Ability to build pipeline from scratch and map markets.
• Strong candidate assessment and tradeoff skills.
• Proven negotiation and closing abilities.
• High integrity with discretion in handling confidential information.
• Consultative partnership with leaders; direct communication.
• Experience across both technical and GTM recruiting preferred.
• Engineer background or AE background before Talent is a plus.
• Executive search or boutique agency experience is a plus with in-house exposure.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality pipeline for hard technical and GTM searches; especially when obvious channels fail.
• Partner with hiring managers as a consultative Talent Partner; manage expectations and tradeoffs.
• Become fluent in Ivo’s product, teams, and markets to credibly sell opportunities to candidates.
• Assess candidates with judgment; identify strengths, weaknesses, and tradeoffs.
• Close candidates in competitive processes by understanding motivations and dynamics.
• Help Ivo build market presence by attending events and turning relationships into pipelines.
• Move quickly, communicate directly, and show recruiting as a business asset.
