Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Talent Development Specialist (or Senior Specialist) to design, implement, and continuously improve learning programs that build skills across our Nevada operations. You will assess needs, partner with subject matter experts, and deliver engaging in-person and virtual training.

The role emphasizes program evaluation, career development planning, and data-driven reporting to demonstrate impact.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in talent development, learning and development, organizational development, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with LMS and training software/tools.
• Ability to analyze training needs and develop targeted solutions.
• Effective project management and multi-initiative prioritization.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mining industry experience preferred.
• Familiar with performance management and competency frameworks.
• Knowledge of career planning and succession strategies.
• Experience with data analysis and learning metrics.
• CPLP or ATD certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement talent development programs aligned with organizational goals.
• Conduct training needs assessments across departments.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop materials and resources.
• Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions.
• Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback and performance metrics.
• Partner with HR to create career development plans.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices in talent development.
• Mentor and coach employees; support career advancement.
• Manage relationships with external training providers and vendors.
• Maintain records of training activities and progress.
• Contribute to ongoing refinement of talent development strategies.
