Job summary

Greater Des Moines Partnership is seeking a Talent Development Intern to support our Talent Development and Inclusive Strategies team with signature programs and initiatives. The role requires strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking and the ability to interact with investors, event participants, and stakeholders.

In-office and on-site event hours occur September–December for about 10–15 hours weekly, with class-schedule flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Supports The Legacy Project: Career Ready Collective program and operations.
• Supports the Talent team to create opportunities for students through the DSM Intern Connection program.
• Provides on-site event support for Talent team, including setup/teardown, participant communication and event management.
• Assist with execution of strategic priorities, talent attraction campaigns and K-12 engagement.
• Analyzes data and compiles reports to clearly communicate project and event outcomes.
• Researches best practices and workforce readiness initiatives for an innovative talent development team.
• Assists with execution of Talent Development and Inclusive Strategies priorities.
• Other duties as assigned.
