Job Overview

The Talent Development Consultant provides best-in-class learning content and experiences for employees within all levels of our organization. Through instructional design, content curations, training facilitation, and project support, the Talent Development Consultant will help drive organizational engagement, effectiveness and change initiatives. Development happens at the individual, team and organizational level providing a fast paced and collaborative environment for our team members.

Secondary focus areas for this role includes training design and delivery services for various development programs for individual contributor and leadership development. It also includes program involvement across the entire Talent Management Lifecycle to create a highly efficient, effective and consistent experience for all team members.

Department Name: Talent Management - HR/Talent Member Experience
Job Status: Full time, 40 hours per week.
Shift: Day, 8am to 5pm, hybrid with 2-3 days in office regularly and as needed for project and client work.

Essential Functions
  • 1. Training and Facilitation: Deliver content in a highly impactful, engaging and applicable manner for short-term and long-term employee development. Audiences range from 10 people to 300 people at a time.
  • 2. Instructional Design: Provide continual needs analysis, research, design, development and curation of content to meet the needs of team members at all levels of the organization. Topics include soft skill development such as leadership and talent development, team performance, operational excellence, change management, etc.
  • 3. Program Management: Ensure successful program implementation for all learning events including the registration process, facilitator coordination, roster management, resource reservations, compliance monitoring, assessment measurement and follow up.
  • 4. Facilitated Support: Provide assessment, development, coaching and implementation of facilitated support services with internal clients to achieve business results which are aligned with the organizational mission, vision, values and strategy.
  • 5. TMX Support: Provide support and back up for our internal Team Member Experience (TMX) group to include every aspect of the Talent Management Lifecycle LMS Systems Administrator as needed in areas such as database administration, user support, tracking, reporting and troubleshooting.
  • 6. Coordinates and supports special assignments.
  • 7. Certification in one or more behavioral or preferred style assessments such as DiSC, Insights, etc.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Demonstrated strong facilitation skills in complex topics and content such as leadership development, organizational development and Human Resource policy and process changes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design, curation and product development.
  • Demonstrated successful program and project management skills.
Scope and Level

Guidelines: Guidelines are generally numerous, well established, and directly applicable to the work assignment. Work assignment and desired results are explained by general oral or written instructions.

Complexity: Falls between the entry and full performance/senior level. Duties assigned are generally repetitive and restricted in scope but may be of substantial intricacy. Employee primarily applies standardized practices.

Decision Making: Decisions or recommendations on non-standardized situations are limited to relating organizational policies to specific cases; brings non routine issues to supervisor; problems that are not covered by guidelines or are without precedent are taken up with the supervisor.

Communications: Contacts with the public or employees where explanatory or interpretive information is exchanged, gathered, or presented and some degree of discretion and judgement are required within the parameters of the job function.

Supervision Received: Under normal supervision, within a standardized work situation, the employee performs duties common to the line of work without close supervision or detailed instruction. Work product is subject to continual review.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Leadership Development, Organizational Development, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in corporate training or organizational development is required.
  • Equivalency: Minimum of six (6) years of related experience in corporate training or organizational development is required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Salary Information

Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $68,066.41 to $102,099.61
