Qualifications

• Experience: One year of paraprofessional personnel work experience; includes maintaining employment records, calculating salaries, applying HR rules, and responding to inquiries.
• Possible substitution: Bachelor's degree in lieu of experience.
• Possible substitution: 30 graduate credits in HR/related field for experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Possible substitution: Juris Doctor for certain employee or labor relations roles.

Responsibilities

• Learning to perform all aspects of recruitment including reviewing and posting announcements, rating applications, and creating eligible lists.
• Responding to inquiries from applicants and agency HR staff via calls, tickets and email.
• Sourcing candidates via LinkedIn and Handshake for hard-to-fill positions.
• Maintaining an advertising database and managing accounts for online job boards.
• Conducting data analysis related to posting use and making advertising recommendations.
• Working with Outreach lead on recruitment events and updating recruitment materials.
• Planning and conducting job fairs and college campus recruiting activities.
• Participating in statewide audits of SPMS appointments for compliance with laws and policies.
