Initio Capital is seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition in the San Francisco Bay Area to lead executive hiring and build scalable recruiting systems. This senior role partners with Career Launch and client employers to align strategy with business goals and to deliver measurable outcomes.

The ideal candidate demonstrates ownership, strong judgment, and a track record of driving speed and quality in talent decisions while managing risk and working with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience leading the relevant operating, legal, people, or executive function.
• Strong judgment, discretion, and written and verbal communication.
• A record of improving systems and delivering outcomes across organizational boundaries.
• Comfort working directly with executives on ambiguous and sensitive priorities.
• Ability to balance speed, quality, compliance, and long-term organizational health.
• Authorization to work in the United States for the employer without misrepresenting work status.

Responsibilities

• Build the recruiting strategy, team, systems, and executive hiring capability.
• Own strategy, operating cadence, and measurable outcomes for the assigned function.
• Translate executive priorities into clear plans, owners, timelines, and decision points.
• Build repeatable systems that improve speed, quality, accountability, and risk management.
• Coordinate high-stakes work across leaders, teams, and external partners.
• Surface risks early and provide concise recommendations supported by evidence.
• Develop team capability through hiring, coaching, documentation, and performance management.
